About the Sacred Boxes

Drawers, boxes, cupboards and cases have, especially in the religious history, contributed to mysticism and ambiance in people’s lives. The work of “The Sacred Boxes” takes its starting point in personal reflections and questions surrounding storage and the tactile sensation from materials of various kinds. The sacred boxes are storage objects that within themselves have a charge that corresponds to the expectations of what it might contain.

“I have aimed to create objects that are soulful, divine and to some extent magical. They are individuals with different visual expressions, they move in various ways and the touch of their surfaces is diverse. I look upon them as different creatures.”
