Plantation

Invitation competition winning concept for Plantation shops for Issey Miyake in Tokyo, Japan. 2002 - unbuilt
The concept was created to harmonize with the product range which had a strong connection to nature and manufactured mostly in natural fabrics. The idea with the concept was to create a contrast to Tokyo’s overwhelming visual impressions and to function as an urban oasis. The material was white-oiled ash, rosewood and Swedish lime stone on the floors. As a complement to these materials, the fitting room walls where to be made in polyester with embedded leaves and berries.
